Drawings of Friends

Hey y'all! How's it going?

Today I just thought I'd share a few drawings and doodles I've done of friends. They're all different styles as it was mostly me playing around and experimenting but it was a lot of fun to work on!

 

My friend Jayci/Alex. They originally had a hat on but I can't draw hats so I ignored that aspect of the reference photo I used. ;_;

My bestieeee for life Sophia! I don't love how her fishnet top turned out but I think it helped me to figure out what to do better if I draw mesh again.

Another one of my amazing besties Sarah! I mentioned her a few posts back as she's writing a book series. I really wanted a youthful, Disney-esque look for this drawing and while it didn't turn out *amazing*, it was still a fun piece to create.

One of my dear childhood friends Alexis. Taking a poetry class with her was my initial introduction to poetry and she's still an AMAZING writer and a really sweet person.

Some simple doodles of my bestie Sophia again, my boyfriend, my two siblings, and myself. The colors aren't quite right but since they're just doodles, I don't really care, lol

Hello y'all!

I've shared this on my Instagram as well (which I update far more often) but this is a self-portrait I did of myself which I honestly quite like how it turned out. :)

As with most of my digital art, this was done with Procreate on an iPad. I used a photo reference of myself but it was not traced.

Uncanny - MY ART on a BOOK COVER???

Hey y'all!

I can't believe I never shared this but a dear long-time bestie of mine, Sarah Demens, has published not only the first one, but the first TWO novels in a series! The series is called Uncanny and takes place in the fictional town of Hollowgrove, full of mysteries, cryptids, and beautiful 'found family' type tropes that I am always a sucker for. 

If you like Gravity Falls, Scooby Doo, anything cryptozoological or a little creepy (I know I've jumped more than once) while still having sweet characters and good humor, you have to check out Uncanny. Both novels can be found on Amazon for both print and digital, and book one, Welcome To Hollowgrove, can also be found through Barnes & Noble. 

I am incredibly honored and overjoyed (and so so so proud) for Sarah. She's an insanely talented person and this has been a long time coming. Please check out her work and support her.
